Volleyball - Girls (V) vs. International School of Milan (ISM)

Event Type: Regular

Date: October 9, 2018

Event Recap:

W: 2-1 (19-25, 25-15, 15-6)

The Varsity Girls Volleyball team traveled to International School of Milan (ISM) for the first matchup with its local rival this season. Upon arriving, the Tigers were not mentally prepared for the game. They started off the first set down due to multiple service errors and could not successfully receive a strong ISM server. The girls never got the momentum in the set and lost it 25-19.

Recognizing their faults, the Tigers had a better mentality in the second set, but something in the air of Milan was not helping the team serve inside the court. Cristina Estevez ’19 and Giulia de Cristofaro ’20 righted the ship by successfully scoring consecutive points through their strong and consistent serves, which helped the team win the second set 25-15. The team continued to show more energy in the final set, winning 15-6.

Despite the win, the girls will need to improve in a number of areas before their upcoming Family Weekend game vs American School of Milan (ASM).
