The TASIS ski team traveled to Halisberg, Switzerland, to attend the 8th edition of the VÖLKL CUP, a race organized by the International School of Zug and Luzern. There were six skiers representing TASIS: three from Middle School—Jeramie Galmarini '26, Delaney McKee '25, and Sol Garcia-Atance Arimont '24—and three from High School: Ludovico Roveda ’21, Thomas Fraschina ’21, and Lorenzo Frecchiami ’21. The race consisted of two runs, with the two times combined to decide the final placement.

Jeramie Galmarini ’26 led straight out of the start gate and after two runs had a winning margin of 16 seconds between him and second place. This was a dominant performance and made him the clear winner for the D boys category.

Delaney Mckee ’25, competing in her first official
ski race, was able to secure 11th place out of 25 racers after her two runs, a particularly impressive debut performance considering the difficult conditions.

Sol Garcia-Atance Arimont ’24 placed 11th out of 35 racers in his category, a strong showing in his first official ski race in Europe.

Ludovico Roveda ’21 and Thomas Fraschina ’21 had impressive first runs, placing them in first and third place, but were unfortunately unable to make their second runs due to a miscommunication.
