Volleyball - Boys (V) vs. American School of Milan (ASM)

Event Type: Regular

Date: September 24, 2018

Event Recap:

The TASIS Boys Volleyball team traveled to the American School of Milan for its first friendly match of the season Monday night. Despite a generally sloppy, low-energy performance, the Tigers managed to eventually find their focus and pull out a close three-set match (23–25, 25–20, 17–15). Both teams struggled with serves and net violations throughout the game, and most points were scored on errors and poor passing. Setter Josh Galmarini '20 led the Tigers with strong blocking and hitting along with Nadir Timerbaev '19, who added an important serving rally to help win the second set. The defense was led by rookie setter Maxim Minkov '21, who scrambled to save a number of long points and build momentum towards the end of the match.
