Final Ranking and All-Star team

The Varsity Boys Basketball team had a very successful run at this year's European Sports Conference (ESC) Championship in Geneva. Playing good team ball with quality defense and timely shooting, the TASIS squad fought through the preliminary round without a loss, with the biggest challenge coming in game #2 against a good BBIS team from Berlin.

In the semifinals, TASIS faced the host school, La Grande Boissière (LGB), which was boosted by its rowdy home fans. The Tigers nonetheless overcame a very good LGB team and edged them by four points. The leading scorers, who also provided strong rebounding at both ends of the court, were Cem Koprulu '19 and Nicholas Brinkmann '20.

In the finals, a tactically adjusted American School of Barcelona (ASB) team, which TASIS defeated in the preliminary round, showed strong shooting from the outside and tight defense that limited the key TASIS players. ASB built up a big lead halfway through the game and never looked back.

This was a very successful tournament overall. Congratulations to the Tigers squad!
