Shadow Day on March 24

This year’s Shadow Day will be held on Tuesday, March 24. Grade-five students will spend part of the day with 6th graders, and 8th-grade students will be with 9th graders. The 5th-grade Transition Service Learning group with the support of the Middle School Student Council will host the annual Shadow Day activities and assembly for our 5th graders.

After-School Program Spotlight: Dance and Choreography

This exciting after-school activity explores creative movement, practices modern and jazz dance techniques, and uses choreographic devices to create original dances! Students in this activity will perform their original choreography at the Sweet November Dance Company (SNDC) concert in the Palmer Center during the Spring Arts Festival. The date for this concert is awaiting confirmation, but we expect it to be May 14.

Dance and Choreography is led by Ms. Julie Edwards Frazier-Smith, an AmSAT certified Alexander Teacher from the Balance Arts Center in New York. She has a B.S. in Dance and Theater and has toured internationally as a professional dancer and choreographer.
