The family dinner is the cornerstone of civilization and those who ‘graze’ from refrigerators or in front of the television sets are doomed to remain in a state of savagery.

HS Musical Premiere Just Two Weeks Away!
Fall Tragedy turns to Spring Comedy with Gilbert & Sullivan’s very funny musical operetta, The Pirates of Penzance. This year’s High School Spring Musical features rousing swordfights, bumbling policemen, spirited teenage girls, comic romance, high-energy dances, beautiful songs, and, of course, PIRATES! With wit and broad humor, hummable songs, a playground of a set, beautiful costuming, and terrific performances from the cast, the show is guaranteed to be great fun for all ages!
The Pirates of Penzance will open in the Palmer Center on the evening of Friday, March 29, at 19:30, with additional shows performed in the Palmer Center on Saturday, March 30, at 19:30 and on Sunday, March 31, at 14:30.

February Athletes of the Month
Lovnesh Bhardwaj ’19
Lovnesh is deserving of this award because of the commitment and passion that he brings to the sport of badminton. He has come to each practice with enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoys being around his teammates. Lovnesh makes others around him feel appreciated and welcomed. As an athlete, he has matured and become more confident with his style of play and shot selections. Lovnesh has a solid understanding of the game and has impressed us all. Well done, Lovnesh!
Katie Kelly ’19
Katie joined the basketball team last year. What impressed us the most about Katie is her positive spirit, commitment, and perseverance. She has worked very hard this season and has come to every practice, always trying her best and looking for ways to improve. Katie is a great teammate for everyone, pushing those around her to run faster, box out better, and achieve more. Offensively, she has improved her layups and power dribble. Defensively, she has been a rebounder. We are so excited and proud of her!
Maja Pszczola ’22
Maja is a “good sport.” Her attendance is not only one of the best on the swimming team, but she is incredibly punctual and considerate. She is always one of the first to show up for the drive to practice, and she is always one of the first two out of the locker room, respecting the coaches’ wishes to get the team back in time for dinner. Maja asks good questions about style, technique, and strategies. She clarifies how to do skills in practice. She never takes a break in practice; she perseveres. She has even been willing once or twice to attempt an event she was not too sure about…for the team. All of these qualities are appreciated and admired in anyone, but especially in a 9th grader. Congratulations, Maja!
