TASIS To Offer CILS Exams This Spring
In our ongoing effort to broaden the academic opportunities for our students, this year we will offer Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language (CILS) exams on May 30. The CILS Diploma, issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena, certifies that a student's knowledge of Italian is aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)—the international standard for assessing language ability. The certification is valid throughout the world and does not expire.
We recommend that Italian Section students who are not mother-tongue Italian speakers take this exam. In order to organize the logistics of the exam administrations, we need to know how many students are interested. If you think you would like your son or daughter to take any of the exams, please send me an email at email@example.com.
Please take note of the following dates:
- Thursday, February 21: Mock exams administered at TASIS (no cost)
- Thursday, March 21: Registration deadline for official CILS exams
- Thursday, May 30: official CILS exams administered at TASIS
- Level A1 & A2 (CHF 120)
- Level B1 (CHF 170)
- Level B2 (CHF 200)
- Level C1 (CHF 230)
Thank you for your time, and please feel free to email me with any questions.
