Parents will have a chance to provide feedback and ask questions following Mr. Nikoloff’s presentation.
This event will take place in the Palmer Center on Tuesday, December 11. Refreshments will be served at 18:30, and the presentation will begin at 19:00. The presentation will be filmed and shared with all parents afterward.

Hour of Code: December 3–9
Computer software plays an increasingly influential role in our day-to-day lives, yet many of us don't understand how computers, software, algorithms, or machine learning work. To help kickstart an interest and build a little skill and awareness, each December during Computer Science Week, teachers and students of all ages around the world spend an hour or more learning a little computer programming. Happy coding to the MS students who will participate in the Hour of Code this year!
Upcoming MS Parent Coffee
The next MS Parent Coffee will be held on Wednesday, December 5, from 8:30–9:30 AM in Casa Fleming. The theme of the meeting is "Parenting approaches in step with adolescent development," and it will be led by School Counselor Ms. Pamela Waters.
Parenting your child who is transitioning from pre-teen to teen (often referred to as Tweens) has become much more challenging, particularly in terms of children’s access to the wider world and a multitude of influences. In the present climate, it is important to remember that your attentive relationship with your young person is still the most effective way to support them through this time. This article may give you some ideas and help you generate some questions that we can discuss while coming to terms with the changes we as parents need to make as our children enter this period in their lives.
MS Service Learning: Personnel Appreciation Brunch
The TASIS Personnel Appreciation service learning group will host the annual Personnel Appreciation lunch on Wednesday, December 5. All hands on deck for showing off your baking talents! Each year through the generosity and warmth of so many bakers, the personnel have enjoyed this special holiday brunch prepared in their honor. The Personnel Appreciation service learning group works hard to prepare the dining hall, set the tables, and send invitations.
We need your help in preparing special treats for special people!
Date: December 5
Time: Bring the treats to De Nobili on December 5, between 8 and 9.
Ms. Sartorelli and Ms. Wilga

Boarders’ Life: Zermatt at Thanksgiving!
For years, this trip has been a tradition at TASIS for Middle School boarding students. A number of MS dorm parents and proctors chaperone this journey to one of the most beautiful ski destinations in Switzerland. Under the shadow of the Matterhorn, the group enjoys skiing for two full days. Other highlights include a fondue dinner, a guided tour of the old town, and simply having a great time together in Zermatt. Enjoy a photo gallery on the TASIS SmugMug page.
Movember at TASIS
For the past six Novembers, a group of TASIS men has grown mustaches and created a music video in support of Movember, a global awareness and fundraising campaign designed to address major health issues faced by men.
Enjoy the latest excellent video above, and please visit the TASIS Mo Space if you would like to contribute to the campaign. Thank you for your support!
