On October 7, thirty alumni from the Bay Area enjoyed the hospitality of John and Amy Gage at a cookout at their home in Mill Valley. John Gage was one of the very first TASIS students, attending in 1956-1957. His mother Jean later became a local agent for Mrs. Fleming; six alumni at the cookout remembered having their TASIS interview with her in the 60s.
After climbing the steps up to the Gage residence, the reward was prosecco on the terrace. Dinner featured a sumptuous spread of TASIS-inspired food, including prosciutto and melon, sausages and corn on the cob, and, of course, chicken and potatoes. People had fun catching up with one another as well as making new acquaintances while perched in cosy corners all over the house.
'Mille grazie' to John Gage '60 and his wife Amy for their gracious hospitality, and for all of their hard work in planning and preparing such a charming evening.
