Walk for Water
All are welcome to participate in the fifth annual Walk for Water on Wednesday, May 3, after school from 3:30–5:45 PM. Participants will carry a 10-20 kg bucket of water around a 1 km course to mimic what many people in the developing world must go through every day for clean water. While the 10 minutes it may take our students does not compare to the six hours often spent by those in the developing world, we hope it will be an experiential lesson about what life is like for many.
While some generous faculty have already combined to pledge CHF 8 per participant, we are always happy to accept additional donations. Please contact Mr. Mulert if you’d like to make a donation. In previous years, we have raised money for a CharityWater.org project that helped finance a well in Nepal, the water committee of Muhuru Bay, Kenya (affiliated with our GSP partner WISER), and Gram Vikas (another GSP partner). This year we will once again donate funds to Gram Vikas and its clean water initiatives. For more information, please contact Mr. Mulert.
Note: TBD indicates that the details of an event are "to be determined."
