On the heels of his third journey to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the Nuove Fiore Global Service Program group, Ethan Fredericksen '18 has crafted a powerful essay in which he examines why this service learning trip has meant so much to him.
Three faculty leaders and 13 TASIS students spent their entire Spring Holiday in Nepal, where they trekked through the Himalayas for 80 kilometers to reach the Tserok Tibetan Refugee Camp. Alex Secilmis '19, Virginia Italia '19, and Lilian Angelone '19 created a stunning video to chronicle the journey.
Two faculty leaders and 13 TASIS students spent a week at EcoVisio in Riscova, Moldova, where they learned about sustainable development and organic agriculture, designed and constructed equipment for a new community park, and forged lasting connections with members of the local community. Mark Chevalier and Diana Khassanova '19 worked together to create a video recap of the initial trip.
All High School students had an opportunity to participate in a creative writing contest that allowed them to submit up to three mini-sagas, stories that must be told in exactly 50 words.
