Anastasia Kolesnikova '18 examines how students in Ms. Amy Bloodworth's Computer Science course successfully took part in the European Astro Pi Challenge, a collaboration between the European Space Agency and the Raspberry Pi Foundation. TASIS students contributed to the daily routine of the International Space Station by writing a short piece of code that ran on the station.
In the fall of 2018, the TASIS Elementary School will roll out a restructured academic program designed to ensure that all students have a native English speaker as a homeroom teacher and also receive additional instruction time in both English and Italian in a number of subjects. Spotlight on International Week The treasured annual tradition of International Week began on Monday, February 12, and concluded on Friday, February 16. Learn about some of the signature events and discover why internationalism is so important to TASIS students. TASIS commenced International Week 2018 with an Opening Ceremony that included the Parade of Flags and the presentation of Torch Awards. Watch the ceremony and read about some of the highlights.
Student writer Esma Karuv '19 posed as a food critic for this year's International Food Fair, a signature event during International Week in which students from dozens of countries set up tables in the Villa de Nobili Dining Hall and share their nation's food with the whole TASIS community.
Ekaterina Plotnikova '18 explores the ways in which TASIS has lived up to Founder M. Crist Fleming's desire to "create not international schools but international human beings."

Sixteen ambitious students represented TASIS at The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) conference in the Netherlands from January 28–February 2. Diana Khassanova '19 explains why the trip was transformative.
Eight members of the TASIS Faculty attended the Milan International Teachers Association Conference, which aims to provide a space to share expertise among the many schools in the region of Northern Italy.
