After adding an Early Childhood Care Coordinator this year, TASIS now plans to expand its Pre-Kindergarten program to help both three- and four-year-old students prepare to successfully read and write in English at the Kindergarten level.

This month our student writers interviewed a teacher of their choice, and their work is shared below. Ms. Pegeen Crockett


Anastasia Kolesnikova '18 interviewed High School Science Teacher Ms. Pegeen Crockett, who taught for nearly 40 years in the United States, Saudi Arabia, and China before coming to TASIS in 2016.


Mr. Mario D'Azzo


Aurelia Dochnal '19 interviewed High School Italian Teacher Mr. Mario D'Azzo, who began teaching at TASIS in 2000 and was the Khan-Page Master Teacher Award recipient in 2015.


Amelia Panella '18 interviewed High School Fine Arts Department Chair and professional artist Mr. Martyn Dukes, who has taught both AP and IB classes over the course of his 10 years at TASIS.

Mr. Peter Locke

Shu Ye '18 interviewed High School English Teacher and Associate Dean Mr. Peter Locke, who began teaching at TASIS in 2010 and now also coordinates the School's Senior Humanities and Advanced Placement programs.

Diana Kuznetsova '18 interviewed High School Photography Teacher Mr. Frank Long, who had some very interesting professional experiences before landing at TASIS in 2013.

Jessica Landa '18 interviewed High School Dean of Students KC McKee, who also teaches AP United States Government and Politics and coaches Middle School lacrosse.

Sasha Tsenter '19 chronicled the first annual Terry Fox Run. 

Alex Secilmis '19 and Giorgio Gambazzi '18 accepted a video challenge from Swiss Learning, which called upon students in Switzerland to use an iPhone to make a 70-second video entitled "My School."
