Beat the Bells
Annual Community Run
A tradition established by former Director of College Counseling Greg Birk in 2010 (with the first official community event being held in 2013), the TASIS Beat the Bells Run consists of a large pack of runners departing from campus at 9:15 AM, cruising down the hill to Lake Lugano, and fighting to finish the uphill run back to campus before the Sant’Abbondio bells chime at 10:00 AM.
The scenic route covers just under seven kilometers with a 340-meter elevation change. Participants can easily load the path into their favorite fitness tracker or map app using the provided GPX or KML file. TASIS community members of all levels are encouraged to join each year and are welcome to invite friends.
