WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • 19:00

This year’s Sweet November Dance Concert, Paris: La Ville Lumière, will be performed in front of a live audience in the Palmer Cultural Center at 19:00 on the evening of Wednesday, November 27. The concert will feature dancers from all three divisions, including the Aerial/Contemporary Dance and Street Jazz classes from the Elementary School, the Aerial/Contemporary Dance class from the Middle School, and the Performing Arts, Concert Dance, and Competition Dance classes from the High School. It will include student-choreographed work, faculty-choreographed work (Julie Frazier-Smith and Guilherme Frugoni), and choreography by guest choreographer Jess Gardolin (Locarno-based actor, dancer, and aerialist originally from Rio do Sul, Brazil).

About the Performance
Step onto the streets of Paris, where the magic of the city comes alive. Set against the backdrop of bustling cafés and the vibrant artistry of Montmartre, this concert is a celebration of creativity and inspiration. This dance concert is a tribute to the soul of the city, filled with inspiring performances that will lift your heart and light your spirit. Each piece captures the magic of the “City of Light,” promising a night of unforgettable dance and creativity where the essence of Paris shines brighter than ever.

Last year Sweet November Dance Company and the HS Performing Arts class performed at the International School of Paris.

Paris Tour Inspiration
This concert is inspired by our upcoming High School Performing Arts tour to Paris, where our High School dancers will perform at the Disneyland: On Stage event (along with the High School Choir) and compete at Future Cheer: Brings It On 2024. The tour will take place from November 28 to December 1. We are excited to share this artistic journey with you and your children!
