RARE Generation: Community Concert & Aperitivo

To celebrate International Rare Disease Day

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28 • 19:00 • Palmer Cultural Center

It is with great anticipation that we invite you to register for our very first Charity Community Concert to be held in the Palmer Cultural Center on Rare Disease Day: Friday, February 28, from 19:00 to 21:00.

Ms. Helen Lill, Rare Diseases Service Learning teacher, and Ms. Erika Cramp, Director of Performing Arts, will welcome you to a spectacular evening of entertainment and giving in aid of the global not-for-profit EI Cure Project.

Perhaps the most exciting part of this special event is that the house band, aptly named Rare Generation, is a very talented bunch of teachers and parents from our very own TASIS community! They will also be supported by the HS Choir and some of our ES performing arts students to make the event even more memorable.

Rare Generation consists of Ms. Melody Zanecchia (ES Music), Ms. Erika Cramp (Director of Performing Arts), Ms. Julie Frazier-Smith (Performing Arts), Mr. Mathew Frazier-Smith (Performing Arts), Ms. Angela Dusing (MS and Pre-K Music), Mr. Tim Venchus (Technology Development Director), Mr. Rich Cramp (MS English and History), Ms. Kerry Venchus (HS Math Chair), Mr. Christof Zanecchia (ES Parent and Alumnus), and Mr. Chris Fogal (ES Parent).

The EI Cure Project is a very small charity with a very BIG mission: to fund research to find a cure for a severe and often disabling blistering skin disorder, Epidermolytic Ichthyosis, which affects only 1 in 300,000 people—one of whom is a TASIS student at Focolare.

There is no cost to attend this community-building event, but in the spirit of giving, please consider making a donation to the EI Cure Project. Our target is to raise enough to fund either a two-year postdoctoral research project or a three-year PhD scholarship. Can you help us move toward our goal of raising CHF 150,000 for this rare cause?

We thank you for your support and look forward to welcoming you to this very first TASIS Community Concert. We’re certain it will be a night to remember!
