Headmaster Chris Nikoloff met with ninth-grade students in Casa Fleming on November 7 to talk about philosophical ethics.
In an effort to ensure that all TASIS students graduate with a foundation in philosophy, each year Mr. Nikoloff delivers a seminar in Ethics to grade 9 students; a Truth, Goodness, and Beauty seminar to grade 10 students; and a Freedom, Equality, and Justice seminar to grade 11 students. This three-part seminar teaches students how to think about these ideas more clearly, to see how these ideas relate to each other and our lives, and to understand the foundational structure of these philosophical concepts.
The JV Girls Soccer team took on the International School of Zug and Luzern during group play of the European Sports Conference (ESC) Tournament hosted by TASIS on November 8. See more photos.
Grade 4 students taught their peers about the importance of cooperation during the Elementary School assembly they led on November 13. Their presentation was the first in a series of assemblies that will cover the values in TASIS C.A.R.E.S (cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self-control). See more photos.

Ms. Johanna Fishbein, who has served as the Director of University and College Counseling at TASIS since 2020, was recognized for Excellence in Counseling at the Council of International Schools (CIS) Global Forum in Basel on November 15. Learn more.

Representatives from Gucci were on campus on November 21 to chat with students interested in careers in luxury brand marketing and fashion. The Futures Workshop was organized by TASIS’s College Counseling Office and supported by the TASIS Parent Association (TPA).
The High School Theater Company put on four incredible performances of The Importance of Being Earnest in the Palmer Cultural Center on November 21–24. The Oscar Wilde classic was reimagined in the Roaring Twenties, with the Palmer Cultural Center transformed into a New York City speakeasy that immersed the audience in the show!
