From the conclusion of another tremendous academic year and the announcement of this year’s Khan-Page Master Teacher to fun-filled alumni reunions and the start of the renowned TASIS Summer Programs, we take a photo-driven look at the past month.
Elementary School musicians demonstrated their talents at their Year-End Music Recital held outside of the Palmer Cultural Center on the afternoon of June 1. See more photos.
High School students concluded their academic year with a series of final exams held during the week of June 1–4.
Students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 1 kicked off Field Day on the morning of June 3 with a series of fun-filled games and competitions organized by Elementary School Physical Education Teacher Tom Lill. See more photos.
Later on that day, students in grades 2–5 enjoyed Field Day activities, which included sponge and obstacle-course relays, cup-stacking and jump-roping competitions, rugby and cornhole games, and much more. See more photos.
The Middle School held its annual Moving-Up Ceremony in the Palmer Cultural Center on the morning of June 4 to honor and say goodbye to the 48 students who will advance to High School in the fall. The beautiful ceremony included student and faculty speeches, musical performances, and the presentation of awards and diplomas. Learn more.
The Elementary School gathered in the Palestrina on the afternoon of June 4 for an emotional farewell assembly that included class presentations, student reflections, and a moving rendition of Todd Fletcher’s “Together.” See more photos.
The Elementary School held its annual Moving-Up Ceremony in the Palmer Cultural Center on the morning of June 5. The touching celebration included speeches, class presentations, musical performances, and the presentation of diplomas. Learn more.
Headmaster Christopher Nikoloff presented Carolyn Rosenberger with the 2026 Khan-Page Master Teacher Award at the final all-faculty meeting on the afternoon of June 5 and had high praise for the High School English teacher, who has taught at TASIS since 2018. Read his citation.
After two decades away, members of the Class of 2006 reunited on campus for their 20-year anniversary reunion on the evening of June 6. Learn more.
Nearly 60 alumni from the Class of 2021 reunited on campus for their 5-year anniversary reunion on June 7. The reunion organized by Director of Alumni Relations Michelle Arslanian included a presentation by Associate Director of Advancement KC McKee, a tour of campus, and brunch in the Casa Fleming Garden. On June 5–8, two groups of High School students completed Qualifying Adventurous Journeys in the mountains of Slovenia while pursuing the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award at the Silver Level. Adventurous Journeys are team-based, purpose-driven adventures that take participants out of their comfort zones to promote resilience, navigation, and outdoor skills. The journeys take weeks of planning and training in navigation, menu preparation, safety protocols, and risk assessment, and the students deal with any obstacles that arise largely on their own, as they are only supervised remotely by adults. Twenty-two High School students and four faculty chaperones spent the first two weeks of their summer holiday (June 6–18) on an Opsahl Global Service Program (GSP) trip to Kanchanaburi, Thailand, where they worked closely with OurLand, a conservation and education center located near the Salakphra Wildlife Sanctuary—a region deeply affected by habitat loss, environmental degradation, and human-wildlife conflict. Working alongside the local community, TASIS students took part in a variety of service projects, including making sustainable bricks, participating in environmental cleanups, helping out at an elephant sanctuary, and engaging in language exchange with children at a local school. From June 6–19, 18 High School students and four faculty chaperones participated in a GSP trip to Cambodia. The group partnered with Volunteer Building Cambodia to build a home, did a cultural exchange with Pepy Empowering Youth, and provided service both in the Cambodian countryside and at local educational facilities in Siem Reap.
