TASIS The American School in Switzerland is an international boarding school located in Montagnola that welcomes more than 700 day and boarding students during the Academic Year (September-June), and more than 700 day and boarding students during the Summer Programs (June-August). Year-round, the School employs close to 450 people who come from all over the world to teach and work.

The TASIS Human Resources Department is looking for a hardworking and reliable HR Administrative Assistant to join our HR team starting February 1, 2022 or date to be agreed.

If you are passionate about HR operations and administrative duties and are keen to contribute to maintaining and developing high-level services provided by the Department, this is the right position for you.

Your job will be to provide support to the HR team by performing a variety of tasks, which include but are not limited to, the activities below.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support for HR executives
  • Manage all Visa and Work Permit applications
  • Help in payroll management, preparation, and payment
  • Manage work contracts, onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
  • Create reports for senior management
  • Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation
  • Manage and update HR databases with different information such as new hires, departures, sick leave, vacation, and days off
  • Prepare, manage, and store paperwork for HR policies and procedures
  • Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information
  • Maintain schedule and coordinate calendar activities
  • Answer telephone calls and provide needed information
  • Translate documents from English to Italian and vice-versa
  • Other various administrative tasks


  • At least 4 years of full-time experience in the administrative related field, preferably in the Human Resources field;
  • Fluency in Italian (either mother tongue or at least a C1 level);
  • Fluency in English (either mother tongue or at least a C1 level)
  • University Degree and/or Business School Diploma (e.g local Scuola di Commercio);
  • Proficient use of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Positive and proactive attitude, and client service orientation are a must;
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Data-driven mindset.
