TASIS wins big over Milan


The girls varsity soccer team returned to action Tuesday as The American School of Milan traveled to Lugano to face the Tigers. TASIS notched its first win of the season with a convincing 6-1 victory. Andjela Miljkovic '14 had her first hat trick of the season scoring 3 goals off assists from teammates Aidan Brooks '15, Irene Siegl '16, and Sami Hercules '13. Co-captain Hercules scored her first goal of the season to add to her assist. Savannah Renauldi '13 scored 2 goals and had 2 assists taking her season totals to four goals and three assists. Aidan Brooks '15 led the Tigers attack with seven shots in the game.

 
A strong defense led by center back Gaia do Amaral '14 and goalkeeper Molly Hercules '16 led the team to a first half shutout facing six shots, all saved by Hercules. The second half saw the introduction of Emilie Tolle '18 in the goal where the team's youngest player stopped four of five shots faced, including a save on a 20 yard free kick just outside the penalty area.
