TASIS Theater Presents "Much Ado About Nothing"

Congratulations to the students and faculty members in the TASIS High School Theater Program for their wonderful performances of Much Ado About Nothing in the Palmer Cultural Center on the evenings of March 26–27, each of which can be watched in full below.

Directed by Theater Teacher Matthew Frazier-Smith along with Performing Arts Department Chair Samantha Forrest and High School English Teacher Bill Dalton, the play features an outstanding cast and crew composed of TASIS High School students and faculty members. The classic story of misunderstandings, love, and villainy follows the journey of two couples. Upon returning from war, Count Claudio and Hero fall in love and are engaged to be married. Benedick and Beatrice, both of whom have vowed to avoid love and marriage at all costs, are tricked into falling in love with each other. As arrangements are being made for the marriage of Claudio and Hero, Claudio is deceived by the villainous Don Jon and wrongfully believes that Hero has been unfaithful. This dubiously instigated misunderstanding leads Claudio to publicly shame Hero on their wedding day by wrongfully accusing her of infidelity. Hero faints and is thought by Claudio to be dead. Benedick then wins Beatrice's love by defending Hero's honor and challenging his comrade Claudio to a duel. After the lies surrounding Hero's alleged infidelity are exposed and Hero is proven to be innocent, Claudio realizes his grave mistake and is reunited with Hero. This dynamic love story ends with the marriage of Claudio and Hero, as well as Benedick and Beatrice, in a double wedding!
