Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through five performed beautifully at the annual Elementary School Christmas Concert in the Palestra on the afternoon of December 17.
Led by Music Director Melody Zanecchia with support from Ballet Instructor Julie Frazier-Smith, accompanists Angela Perini and Daniele Bagutti, and a number of Elementary School teachers, the talented young vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers performed 10 holiday numbers: "Le Cantique de Coventry" (grade 5), "Christmas, Don’t Be Late" (Kindergarten), "Adeste Fideles" (grade 3), "Feliz Navidad" (grade 1), "Amen" (grade 4), "Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree" (grade 2), "Light the Candles All Around the World” (ES Choir), “I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas” (ES ballerinas), "Must Be Santa" (recorded in advance by Pre-Kindergarten students), and “Mille Luci” (all ES students).
