Presenting Dr. Aeschliman's "Two Plagues in Lombardy"

Dr. Michael D. Aeschliman—a scholar and professor associated with TASIS for 50 years, a member of the TASIS Foundation Board, and the author of The Restoration of Man: C.S. Lewis and the Continuing Case Against Scientism (new editions in English, 2019, and French, 2020), which we discussed on the TASIS Blog in September—is drawing praise for his most recent essay published in National Review: “Two Plagues in Lombardy.”

Dr. Aeschliman’s penetrating essay centers on Alessandro Manzoni’s The Betrothed and aims to provide both comfort and insight at this ominous and painful time. The views expressed are his own.
