About the Filmmaker

Michele Josue, ’97 discovered her passion for theater and the arts during the six years she spent at TASIS.  She went on to Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Film and Video production. Shortly thereafter, Michele relocated to Los Angeles.

Since then, she has worked for Disney, Fox, and ABC on films and TV shows such as "Alvin and the Chipmunks", "Alvin and the Chipmunks 2", "G-Force", the upcoming "Old Dogs" starring John Travolta and Robin Williams, "Ugly Betty","Better Off Ted" starring Jay Harrington and Portia de Rossi. She has also written and directed a number of independent short films and documentaries and continues to develop new material. Since 2000, Michele has created all of TASIS’ documentaries, which include “Perspectives,” “Pushing All the Buttons: Mrs. Fleming Reminisces,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and now, an in-depth web video series covering all aspects of TASIS life.

Michele credits her work with TASIS for helping her to learn the ins and outs of documentary filmmaking and looks forward to continuing to hone her craft.  She takes great pleasure in returning “home” to Lugano and is always grateful for the opportunity to give back to the TASIS community.
