Athletics
Sports are required for all students at least two afternoons per week and include competitive team sports such as:
- Soccer: girls and boys
- Volleyball: girls and boys
- Varsity and Jr. Varsity Basketball: girls and boys
- Swimming: girls and boys
- Tennis: girls and boys
- Lacrosse: boys
(TASIS sports teams compete with other Swiss and Italian schools and in international school tournaments.)
TASIS also offers a selection of non-competitive sports such as:
- Zumba, Bodytoning, and Yoga
- Fitness classes
- Recreational tennis and flag football
- Spinning
- Recreational swimming
- Personal Fitness
- Horseback Riding
- Squash
- Running and walking
- Non-competitive soccer, volleyball, and basketball are also offered.
Physical Education
All students in grades 7, 8, 9, and 10 are required to take Physical Education in support of the TASIS philosophy that a strong school takes care of all aspects of a student's well-being, including the social and physical development of each person.
| In grades 7 and 8, students take Physical Education as a required Middle School course meeting four times a week. |
| In grade 9, students combine health studies and physical education for a full credit of Healthy Active Living Education [HALE]. |
| In grade 10, students take Physical Education twice a week as a required course. |
