The Class of 2002 flocked to the TASIS campus for what turned out to be an amazing weekend with a crowd of 70 overall, including 46 alumni plus their guests. The weekend was full of fun and reminiscences, including a nostalgic slide show as well as the more usual fare - a campus tour, Casa Fleming dinner, boat dance, and Sunday brunch. The weekend started off with a real coup de theater – Kate Belyakova found her skis – complete with poles and boots – in the bunker. Very dusty, but still where she left them 10 years ago! Michelle Martinez provided another highlight by accepting her boyfriend’s proposal on the boat dance.
People came from all over the world to attend. The winner for ‘most miles traveled’ has to be Ibo Mango who flew in from Australia with his whole family, but others came from Japan, Taipei, the US, Turkey, Russia, all parts of Europe .. or just down the road in Lugano. A huge Thank You to everyone that helped organize this reunion, and especially to Armando Passuello for taking charge so enthusiastically, and for putting together a great slide show.
This has set a new standard for a class reunion on campus; the challenge is there – will your class be able to beat it?
