"Jazzis" - TASIS Celebrates International Jazz Day
TASIS students, faculty and staff will celebrate with a presentation of workshops, ensemble and singing presentations representing the various styles of jazz from traditional standards through to contemporary jazz rock.
International Jazz Day. A global celebration, declared by UNESCO in 2011, recognizing the power of jazz music to promote peace, intercultural dialogue, and meaningful international cooperation.
10:30-12:30 -Jazz Brunch (special New Orleans jazz-inspired menu) Performances by the TASIS community with Beat Poetry Workshop.
13:00-13:30 - Blues Workshop.
14:00 – 15:30 - Bands, Solo Instrumental, and Vocal presentations - featuring TASIS students and faculty.
Palestra Dance Studio
16:00 – 17:00 - Broadway-style Jazz Dance Workshop.
